Bideford

Bideford, Westward Ho! Instow & Appledore

The market town of Bideford offers a wonderful selection of independent cafe and stores yet also provides all our local amenities including banks, major coffee shops, the outlet hopping store of Affinity and larger corporate brands.

The fishing town offers a choice of infant/junior schools and a secondary school together with medical centres, library and local art gallery. Access to other towns/villages is easy with an accessible bus route throughout the area.

Bideford is only 3 miles from the coastal town of Westward Ho! Westward ho! has a direct bus route which travels there every 30 minutes from the town of Bideford and surrounding areas. It has a wonderful stretch of sandy beach and is very popular with dog walkers as well as the local surfing community. Westward Ho! is also blessed with coastal footpaths

which take you on wonderful coastal walks around the North Devon coast.

Appledore is situated 4 miles from Bideford and also has a direct bus service. The fishing village is very popular with fantastic local independent pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. They also have a wonderful local primary school and nursery within the village. Appledore is a very picturesque village and one of my personal favourite. Directly opposite Appledore over the river you can see the idilic Instow, Instow is very popular with everyone. Instow has a long stretch of sand, which is perfect for any dog owner and some award winning eateries, bars and restaurants.
